The time of life seems to be always speeding forward. As a child, a day was extraordinarily long; today a day passes in a flash. The lilting cicadas of childhood summer vacations probably occupy more space in memory than the minutes of an entire quarter of meetings in an adult job. It's not the clock that determines the scale of our perception of time, but the way we experience the world.

Hedgehog's new EP album “Long Day Long (Shore to Shore)” will pull away from the gravitational pull of reality, reset your and my perception of time, and allow ourselves to find the rhythm of living with ease.

In the daily waiting, waiting for a person on the way home from work, Zijian recorded endless roaming thoughts to complete the album's self-titled song. Intentionally selected vintage tones, lowered voice sings softly, like the sunlight at sunset in spring, falling on the skin, warm and melancholy

Good Morning” was written during an emotional time last year. His mom came to take care of him at home and happened to record a clip of Zijian snoring in his sleep. Listening to that peaceful, reassuring sleep reminded him of his childhood. With the early birds twittering outside the window, it seems that everything is still as it was in his memory. However, what about reality?

Already released first, the single “I'm Crazy” pulls us back to the real world in an instant. Loud noises, traffic jams, and anxiety that cannot be calmed always tend to make people lose their inner peace. This song is Zijian's admonition to himself that insanity and sobriety may be just a thought away.
