Xin Yao pioneer Liang Wern Fook joins hands with the Singapore Chinese Orchestra to release his debut digital album *Encounter · Seeing*.

Cultural Medallion and Singapore Chinese Cultural Contribution Award recipient Liang Wern Fook is not only a leading figure in the Xin Yao (Singaporean folk-pop) movement — his artistic journey, where music and literature intertwine beautifully, is truly captivating. The Singapore Chinese Orchestra has reimagined his songs from different stages of his career through the lens of Chinese orchestral music, inviting you to join him on a musical journey where you can both *encounter* and *see*.  

This album brings together 25 works, woven into six suites that trace Liang Wern Fook's musical path — unfolding around themes of life, youth, wandering, home, reconciliation, and self. Classics such as *Endless Flow*, *The Singapore Pie*, and *Your Reflection* are given new life through Chinese orchestral arrangements. The recording of this album was inspired by the overwhelming response to the 2024 *Encounter · Seeing: Liang Wern Fook Concert*, which played to sold-out crowds. The concert was conducted by Singapore Chinese Orchestra Principal Conductor Quek Ling Kiong and was widely acclaimed by audiences.
