'Inner Peace, Outer Flow' is a personal growth record of LI YU TING's twenties. With “love” as the medium, this album showcases her self-growth in her twenties and explores the world through the eyes of a young adult. As she puts it: "The world is a reflection of the inner self; how we perceive ourselves is how we face the world. At times, it is through encounters with others that we find ourselves and then learn to love." The desires and hesitations, passion and evasions in life shape a complete self.

As a post-2000s singer-songwriter, LI YU TING constructs a “non-idealistic utopia of love” through her highly vibrant musical language, embracing emotions and sorrows while growing upward.

The album follows a complete narrative thread of “Seeking, Confronting, Becoming Strength”. “Seeking” means revealing vulnerability, calling out to the outside world, and longing for understanding and companionship. “Confronting” is turning inward, accepting authenticity, and learning to love and be loved. “Becoming Strength” is letting go of obsessions after understanding impermanence, and experiencing all things with a more open heart. She uses music to express an ever-exploring and “forever upward” vitality: “Joy sets the night ablaze, while pain nurtures the growth of all things.”

The album includes 12 original works written and composed by LI YU TING. In her music creation, she is not confined by styles – from Ambient to rock, from Mandopop to the fusion of electronic music and traditional folk music, each song is her sincere response to the world. These songs are also repeated self-dialogues and emotional rituals. LI YU TING hopes that through these works, like the sun, she can illuminate herself and every people who is searching for self and longing to be understood.
